| My computer is behind a router, will I have to foward some of the ports ? |
|
No. (no need to worry about router config) Vedivi does not require any port forwarding or other specific setup and is ideal for secure connections between computers and/or networks. Vedivi only makes outbound secure connections to the Vedivi servers, and the Vedivi servers redirect the traffic between the Vedivi services, there is no need to configure your router (port forwarding or natting). Vedivi is secure, all traffic is SSL encrypted directly between both your Vedivi using your login and password. All the traffic is therefore unreadable for anyone, including Vedivi servers, only by your computers. You do not need to have a public IP, port forwarding or NATting. Vedivi is designed to work on computers behind a corporate firewall. Vedivi already takes care of the NATting between both PCs by assigning a local IP address for the remote computer. You can for example directly ping the remote computer by name. Vedivi automatically checks if an application is trying to connect to a remote network by using the remote computer name or ip address (not the public, but the private remote computer IP address) and takes care of forwarding the network traffic between both computers/networks. |
