Remote Desktop Tool

Vedivi enables you to connect to your computer across the Internet from virtually any computer. Once connected, Remote Desktop gives you mouse and keyboard control over your computer while showing you everything that's happening on the screen. With Remote Desktop, you can leave your computer at the office without losing access to your files, applications, and e-mail.

There are two ways to use Remote Desktop with Vedivi:

  • From a Web browser (no local installation required)
  • From Vedivi console (requires Vedivi to be installed locally)

Remote Desktop from a Web browser

  1. In your Web browser, type www.vedivi.com.
  2. Enter your account Login and Password and click Login.
  3. Select the remote computer your want to access and click on Remote Desktop
  4. Please continue with the next step - Log On to the remote computer

Remote Desktop from Vedivi Console

  1. Open Vedivi Console (double-click on systray icon )
  2. Select the computer in the Available Networks list, and click Connect (unless already connected)
  3. Once connected, click on Remote Desktop on ...
  4. Please continue with the next step - Log On to the remote computer

Log On to the Remote Computer

  1. When the Log On to Windows dialog box appears, type your windows user name, password, and domain (if required), and then click OK. You should consider you are loging in to the remote computer as if you were in front of it.
  2. The Remote Desktop window opens, and you see the desktop settings, files, and programs that are on your host computer, which in this example is your work computer.

Your host computer remains locked, and nobody can access it without a password. In addition, no one will be able to see the work you are doing remotely.

To end your Remote Desktop session

  1. Click Start, and then click Log Off at the bottom of the Start menu.
  2. When prompted, click Log Off.
