Hi there.
As I understand it, WallCooler has the ability to sync Outlook email, contacts & calender.
I am wondering how to achieve this.
I can't seem to find any instructions in the support area.
The only reference that I can find is in the "Other Application" area and it reads:

WallCooler routes all the IP and TCP traffic, all the IP based applications should work on both computers or networks. WallCooler automatically takes care of which packets belong to which network.

For example, an e-mail client application, such as Microsoft Outlook, running on your laptop in a public place, like an airport or hotel room, will automatically connect to the e-mail server running at the office.
Now, if while you are reading an e-mail you click on a website link within that e-mail, WallCooler will know that you don't need to go through the Office computer/network to access this link.

Is this possible with a standard Outlook install on each computer?
ie. no mail server on the main PC.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Spottydog,

in fact the outlook synchronization is part of the outlook/exchange server and not wallcooler. WallCooler seamlessly connects to the remote network providing transparent access to the remote application servers, so that a client application such as outlook can directly connects to the exchange server and synchronize/download e-mails, calendars, …

In the case where there is no remote exchange server, outlook itself cannot do much by itself. Usually outlook connects to an exchange server somewhere, either on the company network or on directly on the Internet, unless other types of accounts are used (pop3…).

You can have a standard outlook install on multiple pc, but they all need to have access to an exchange server to synchronize.

Hope it clears things out.

Thanks Talal.

I suspected this was the case when I started researching it.
Thankyou for taking the time to clarify it.
